WELCOME!

Lewis Charters can take you fishing for Alaska King Salmon (Chinook), Silver Salmon (Coho) and Rainbow Trout. Owners Dan & Lil operate a salmon fishing charter located in Willow Alaska, approximately 75 miles north of Anchorage (about a 2-hour drive), in the heart of Alaska's best King, Silver Salmon and Rainbow Trout fishing. We fish the Deshka River and other Susitna River drainages and creeks. We run in our open, shallow water SeaArk. You enjoy fishing in secluded waters with fewer people meaning MORE FISH - MORE FUN!

When To Fish Salmon

Fishing for King Salmon starts as soon as the rivers are ice-free, usually May 15 and goes until July 13th.

Silver Salmon fishing usually comes on the heels of King season and runs until September.

We will do everything possible to make your fishing adventure fun and exciting, successful and safe. But first there are few items that are required to make your trip enjoyable. You will need to bring the following items.

  • Alaska Fishing License and a King Salmon stamp, if fishing for King Salmon. It's the law. This can be purchased at numerous locations. If you do not possess a valid Alaska fishing license, you can not fish. To purchase your license and stamp online, click here.
  • Appropriate clothing. Mornings on the water can be chilly. Afternoons can be rather warm...bring sunshades. And sometimes it rains. Hip boots come in handy too. Bring your own or try some of ours.
  • Food & beverages for yourself. Coolers are welcomed aboard the boat.
  • Cooler to transport and keep your catch on ice when you leave. Captain Dan will clean your catch.
  • Camera. No fishing trip is complete without it.
